That is nearly 50 years ago now.
I'm thinking of these two friends weekly...

Springers are great dogs! They add so much to our lives. We had to put our Misty down when her hips could no longer function, and she had a suspicious growth on her liver. ?Consolations. If the myth of the "Rainbow Bridge" is not true, It should be!

Ah, geez, Karen. I know what you're going through, having had to do the same more often that I want to recall. Dogs trust us for everything, including having to make the really tough decisions. Remember all of those good times . . .
