Which battery for a D500?

I want to buy a battery for my D500 and I’m not sure which one to get. I see on Amazon an en-el15, an en-el15a, and an en-el15b. They all say they will work but I’ve heard conflicting reports. It looks to me like the b came out for the Z6 and Z7. If all work, is there one that lasts longer or has any other advantage? Thanks in advance.

Here's how I understand it and if I'm mistaken hopefully someone else chimes in.

All will fit and work however:
the original el-15 had some issues that were fixed in the el-15a
the el-15b can be charged in camera which is a Z6/7 option but not an option with the D500

I would get the el-15a unless you plan on getting a Z in the future.

Get the B. Earlier versions are now discontinued and are only for sale until stock runs out. I prefer to buy newer batteries ever since I picked up a pair of "new" but older style batteries directly from Nikon. They sat for so long they only lasted for a year's use before they were shot.
